Hi, I live here at Arabaer with my husband Saevar and our six young children. Arabaer is a busy working farm where we train, breed and sell Icelandic horses. We also farm vegetables including turnips and carrots, this keeps us all busy! I am originally from Scotland and have travelled, lived and worked abroad in several places including New Zealand and Holland before settling in Iceland around 13 years ago. My husband Saevar is Icelandic and grew up around here, we run the business together and enjoy our busy lifestyle with the farm, children, and various pets ;-) We speak English and Icelandic here on the farm. Happy to interact with guests as required.

Relax with family and friends at this peaceful place to stay. This beautiful cosy cabin is one of 2 which are located surrounded by amazing nature just 6km from Stokkseyri and 18km from Selfoss. With birds and wildlife in abundance in the surroundings. There are breath taking views of mountains, volcanos, glaciers and gentle walks in nature. Its an amazingly peaceful area to spend some time relaxing, but all while being an excellent location for hitting the sites of south iceland.
