My family has lived at Kúludalsá since 1933. There were always many people on the farm in the old days and my parents built a big house in 1973. Now I don´t need all the space and therefor I can use a part of the house to host travelers. Most guests come through Booking.
I am a farmer at Kúludalsá, but my main profession is teaching
On the farm there are some nice horses. There is also a friendly border collie dog. His name is Lappi and he welcomes guests!
There are many interesting places around. For the first, Kúludalsá has a great view and you can take walking tours, look at the horses, see the birds and enjoy the view over the sea and the mountains.
In the nearest town, Akranes, there is a good outdoor swimming pool, a nice beach, an interesting museum that tells the history of the district, an old lighthouse etc.
It takes only about forty minutes to drive to Reykjavík from Kúludalsá. But if you
want to go north you will after only about 30 km find another interesting small town, Borgarnes. There you have the opportunity to go to the Settlement center. There you will find an interesting exhibition of the settlement history of Iceland. Those are only few examples of what you can do!
