“Lovely property with views of the vineyard. The owners make their own wine and olive oil and are very friendly. The accommodations are simple but nice and it’s a great place for a rustic getaway, but is also only half an hour from Florence.”

San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the heart of Chianti, properties of the Florentine bishops since its Foundation, San Casciano was annexed to the Republic of Florence in the 13th century and later became a fortified castle defense .
