Every day, tourists passing by the nearby road stop to photograph Podere le Volpaie, a traditional Tuscan village, "borgo", rebuilt from ruins in 2008, surrounded by the endless landscape of the Tuscan hills of Val di Cecina, one of the most beautiful Tuscan valleys. A breathtaking view after waking up in the bedroom, with a morning coffee in the kitchen, at lunchtime, while playing and relaxing by the pool and at sunset, on a small terrace, with a glass of local wine waiting for you on arrival . The main part of our apartment is a bright, air-conditioned living room with a large, fully equipped kitchenette. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, gas hobs and an oven. A dining room with a view of the Tuscan hills, a fold-out comfortable sofa for two (140x200cm), an armchair, a coffee table, a library with literature and guides to Tuscany in English, German, Italian and Polish. An air-conditioned bedroom with a view of the hills, a comfortable bed (160x200), a large wardrobe and an additional chest of drawers. Bathroom accessible from a small hallway, contains a shower, toilet, bidet, and a well-lit mirror. All interiors have a typical Tuscan ceiling, terracotta floors, mosquito-net windows, fans and adjustable heating. A pump, a set of inner tubes and bicycle tools are waiting for the cyclists!

All this is watched from above by Volterra, accessible in a dozen or so minutes by car ancient Etruscan city full of atmospheric restaurants hidden in narrow streets, delicious ice cream parlors, galleries and museums, and beautiful ruins of an ancient theater. Volterra's cultural and culinary calendar has something for everyone. On the other hand, Montecatini Val di Cecina is also looking down on us, a charming, tiny Tuscan town where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables from a traveling farmer, have a coffee at the market square in a local bar, and visit the museum of copper minery. And in a valley, Saline di Volterra - a salt mine museum. Visit Lajatico, full of art, where Andrea Bocelli was born and where he gives a concert once a year in the open amphitheater of the Teatro del Silenzio. By the way, you can buy wine from his winery in La Sterza. In half an hour you will reach the Italian coast, several minutes longer to the unique Spiagge Bianche (White Beach). It is also close to one of Tuscany's most unusual towns: San Gimignano, also known as the Manhattan of the Middle Ages. It takes about an hour to reach Siena, Pisa and Livorno. Within 1.5 hours, other pearls of Tuscany: Florence, Grosseto and Luca. And much more - guidebooks in English are waiting in our library. It is also a perfect place for lovers of road cycling. Cycling tours in the Tuscan hills can be started on the asphalt road located right next to the property.
