The first floor is a suite for up to two guests—with a vintage bed crafted from ancient palazzo doors, dressed with organic linens and fluffy pillows. Upstairs enjoy a spacious living room and full artisanal kitchen plus dining space, on the second floor. Then up the terracotta steps to the third floor, with two high-ceiling bedrooms with views of the Tuscan countryside or medieval village. Both bedrooms have air conditioning, one bedroom may have a king bed or two long twin beds according to your wishes. The other spacious bedroom has a queen bed and a hand-crafted copper wash basin. A second bathroom with rain shower is just up a short flight of stairs. Beautifully and eco-consciously designed throughout, with ancient terracotta and travertine floors, organic paint, organic sheets and linens on the beds, and antique furniture and salvaged wood design.

A local native, Niccolo's heritage in Montefollonico traces back to his great great grandparents. Montefollonico is a precious hidden gem—high atop a medieval hilltop, surrounded by forest and fresh breezes. Located just a 15 minute drive from Montepulciano and Pienza, but less touristed, you can enjoy what it's like to live within a local Tuscan community. In Montefollonico there is a colorful local bar, a grocery market (with takeout pizza night on Wednesdays and Saturdays), a pharmacy, a winery, a ceramic shop, an ATM, and two restaurants in town. Nature trails and hiking in the area is a highlight, with an electric bike station as well. Montefollonico is not easily reached by public transportation so it's best to have a car, taxi service, or a private driver. Although you may wish to just spend lovely, serene days in Montefollonico without need for transportation, as many of our guests have happily done. With a car or driver, Montefollonico is surrounded by world-famous vineyards, wineries, thermal spas, cathedrals, and of course incredible Tuscan cuisine! Approximately 1.5 hour drive from Florence, 1 hour from Siena, and 15 minutes from Montepulciano and Pienza.
