Over six years ago we gave up a busy and stressful lifestyle in the UK and moved to our dilapidated farmhouse set amongst the vineyards of the Monferrato to " live the dream" We have dedicated ourselves to restoring the old farmhouse to its former glory creating a unique home completely modernised for life in the 21st century but still retaining its bygone elegance with many of it s original features. It is furnished with many traditional pieces which work well together with many more contemporary items. The most unusual feature is the English cottage garden that surrounds the property created by Julia a trained horticulturist. It is brimming with colourful flowers containing over 100 different roses and the air is perfumed with the rich fragrance of the many herbs, in Spring you can stroll through the wildflower meadow with the scent of wild mint crushed under foot, in summer meander amonst the vineyards to check the maturing grapes and take in the views, photograph the bright sunflowers that grow in abundance in the surrounding fields. or just relax and take a moment of contemplation amongst the honeysuckle and roses. You will be overwhelmed by its peace and tranquility.

We are delighted to share our special home with you it has taken many years of love and dedication to reach this point. We will be very happy to share our experiences. We will not intrude upon your privacy but will always be around to help and encourage all to enjoy this beautiful place and its surrounding countryside. The garden is our main passion but we do enjoy photography, music, art and trolling antique fairs and markets to find some special treasurers,

The centre of the village Belveglio is less than 10 minute stroll where there is one of the best Pizzerias in the Nizza area, there are also a couple of fine restaurants within 5 minutes drive. Days can be spent strolling through the vineyards or cycling along the many nature trails in the surrounding country park. Nizza Monferrato the heart of the Barbera wine region is just 10 minutes drive it is a quaint bustling market town with many festivals throughout the season. There are many excellent sociale and private cantinas that do special wine tastings along with open days and events. such as picnics amongst the grapevines. In spring there are asparagus and wine festivals, in summer we wine, dine and dance under the stars, Autumn brings the search for the special white truffles found in the many woodland areas, in winter do not miss the Govone Christmas fair where the fairytale village set high on the hillside becomes a winter wondreland. There is also the city of Asti for a more cosmopolitan feel with its many ancient buildings set along the cobbled streets and unique boutique shops, famous Palio and food festival. There is always something to do and see.
