Small detached apartment, located in the old town of Casale Monferrato, in a quiet old street near the Public Park. Parking in front of the door, or in private garage. Bike rental for short excursions. All points of intrerest are 10 minutes walk from Casa Moretti. Self Check In (independent access with personal code). The apartment is located in the old town, facing Palazzo Mellana (16th century), 100 m from Palazzo Tornielli (15th century), 200 m from the Public Park with centuries-old horse chestnut trees and the monument to Bistolfi, and 500 m from the ruins of the 16th-century citadel. The coach station is at 300 m, the railway station can be easily reached with a 10 minute walk across the park. Bikes are recommended for excursions in the surroundings. The apartment is on the ground floor, and therefore ideal for night storage of any bikes. Guests can enjoy complete freedom.
I am a set designer and I live in Milano. I love Casale because I was born there, in Via Moretti.
The city of Casale Monferrato, with its millennia-old history and the neighbouring hills strewn with vineyards, is a world-unique resort. The 12th-century Romanesque Cathedral, the 15th-century buildings (including Palazzo Tornielli at 100 m), the Baroque churches, and the magnificent 18th-century buildings on Via Mameli tell the story of a city that used to be governed by the Paleologi and the Gonzaga. The Paleologi Castle suffered a siege in the 17th-century, and the castles on the beautiful hills surrounding Casale are a testimony of the history of Monferrato, a rich and fought-for province for centuries.
