Should you wish to explore a little further afield and leave the tranquillity of the countryside behind you for a day, Ascoli Piceno is famous for its beautiful Piazza del Popolo, it is considered one of the most elegant provincial squares in all of Italy; and is also famous for its annual Quintana – a medieval festival held in the Piazza del Popolo every August. Le Marche is not all rolling countryside and stunning historical cities, the Adriatic coast is only 34 kilometers from the villa. It has a true Mediterranean feel, sample the catch of the day at some of the best fresh fish restaurants in the region, or while away the hours on the sandy beaches that stretch all along the coast line.
