You are lucky to be staying in this quiet residential area, surrounded by olive trees and within walking distance of the historic centre of San Quirico d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving the house, you can take a pleasant stroll to the characteristic Piazza Chigi, where you will find the magnificent Palazzo Chigi, a Renaissance building with a beautifully decorated façade. From there, continuing along Corso Italia, you will reach Piazza della Libertà, the town's main square, where you can admire the Collegiata dei Santi Quirico e Giulitta. For art lovers, I recommend a visit to the Church of Sant'Agostino with its 16th-century frescoes and the Contrada Museum to discover ancient local traditions. If you have a sweet tooth, try the famous San Quirico butter biscuits, which can be bought in the delicious pastry shops in the centre.
