Near the apartment there are restaurants, shops of various kinds and 300 meters away is the Libia line B metro stop on Viale Libia which is also full of shops of all kinds. Trieste is the 17th district of Rome and the northern area is also called the African Quarter as the names of the streets refer to the ancient colonies of the Kingdom of Italy. The neighborhood has been inhabited since prehistoric times and in historical times the villages suffered the famous Rape of the Sabine Women.
