"What a fabulous place . over looking the lake , nice neighbourhood who were very friendly . Apartment was clean tidy and had all we wanted. he also has a Resturant around the corner which you have to go to to taste the local food."

Immersed in the greenery of the Sabina just 80 km from Rome and 30 from Rieti, the "C'era una volta" offers three mini lofts overlooking Lake Turano a few steps from the municipal beach of the town of Colle di Tora. With a mix of modern comfort and rustic charm, each apartment welcomes guests in a relaxing atmosphere. The structure boasts outdoor spaces to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the lake. Ideal for romantic getaways or family holidays, it allows you to explore the surrounding nature and to easily reach the nearby cities (Carsoli and Rieti) or the nearby towns (Castel di Tora, Rocca Sinibalda, Paganico Sabino, Collalto Sabino).
My name is Marco, I was born and raised on Lake Turano. In addition to my passion for music, I also run a restaurant in this wonderful area. I like to share the beauty and unique experiences that the place and surroundings have to offer. Here's what you can explore around Lake Turano: La Spiaggetta: Enjoy the sun and the cool waters of the lake at the municipal beach of Colle di Tora. A perfect place to relax and bathe on the floating platform; Castel di Tora: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with paved alleys and stone houses, overlooking the lake; The Vallocchie Waterfall: a wonderful natural waterfall near Castel di Tora; The ghost village of Antuni: a medieval village with a castle abandoned at the end of the 19th century; Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia Nature Reserve: a large protected area in which to explore and learn about a great variety of flora and fauna in an uncontaminated environment and find suggestive paths with spectacular views of the valley below; Water sports: at the Lega Navale and the Nautical Center you can rent canoes, pedal boats and sailing boats and go water skiing; Local events: during the year various events and demonstrations are organized in Colle di Tora and the surrounding villages, such as the pea bean festival, the polenta festival, the living nativity scene and the patronal festivals of Sant'Anatolia and San Lorenzo.
