Hi, I'm Nicola and I am lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful areas of the Tuscan countryside near the historical town of Siena .This territory is my home,my work and my passion. With my wife and children I live on and work a farm producing traditional organic crops and also help my family preserve the beautiful castle which is our family heritage, where my Mum and Aunt still make their home and where we produce great Chianti wine and Tuscan olive oil. My family and I are hospitable people who enjoy sharing this territory we love with our guests.

Here at Le Pietre Vive we have all the advantages of the peace and beauty of the Tuscan countryside at just a few minutes drive from the historic centre of Siena with all its attractions:restaurants and bars, fascinating medieval and Renaissance squares and streets, monuments, museums and wonderful events such as the famous Palio of Siena. The farm is just outside Siena and despite its air of timeless tranquillity very close to main roads linking us all major Tuscan cities and offering easy access to all popular Italian destinations.As well all the attractions of Siena you can easily visit other famous art cities like Florence, Arezzo, Perugia or even follow the footsteps of St Francis in the ancient town of Assisi or still more easily explore any of the delightful medieval Tuscan hill towns nearby. You can even relax at one of the Thermal spa resorts only 15 km. or so away. We are also well placed for wine tours, set between the Chianti region and Montalcino and Montepulciano. Siena is easy to reach by train or coach as well as by car but to get the most out of the trip and explore the countryside and little hill towns and villages round about it is a good idea to hire a car.
