Argilaia is a 150 years old rural country homestay. Staying at our place is a unique experience, our family loved and cared the farmhouse since has been purchase 40 years ago. Like every “aged” house by the countryside, this one shows character and if it lacks of some modern comfort will pay you back with charme and the warmest feeling. We make available for our guests the main portion of the property along with a very big garden barbecue area and a large swimming pool (the pool, occasionally, it might be shared with the hosts).
I'm a creative director based between Florence and Brooklyn. I spend part the year at Argilaia in a detached portion of the property. When I was a kid I moved with my family from Naples to this beautiful place in the Tuscan countryside. My mom, Layla, who bought the property 40 years ago, co-hosts the vacation rental with me and she lives all year around in her house 200 meters away from the main house. We both love to offer to our guest the best vacation experience in the Saturnia area giving them all the tips about what to visit and to do and we put any effort on taking very good care of the property and of our guests.
Saturnia is a world renown spa town with an incredible hot water healing spring. Argilaia is located in the Saturnia hills just 5 miles from the village. The Maremma Tuscany area is still one of the wildest and secluded part of Italy, very genuine with hidden gems and a vast array of activities, things to do and place to visits. A lot of History can be find here, wildlife, great food and wines, medieval villages and we are at just 45 minutes from amazing beaches by the Argentario Coast and Rome Fiumicino airport is 1h45 minutes from us.
