Though compact due to medieval structure and thick stone walls, it radiates charm and intimacy. Windows overlook Via Cappellini. Fan provided, but the AC in the living area sufficiently cools the room. Bathroom ✔ To the left of the corridor, with a practical shower. ✔ A closet next to it houses the washing machine and drying rack. Kitchen ✔ Separated by an elegant wooden slat wall. ✔ Designed like a sailboat cabin, with all essentials in a compact layout. Portovenere is a picturesque Italian Riviera village by the Cinque Terre in the Gulf of Poets, so called because of its attraction to famous writers and poets. Legend has it that Lord Byron once swam here, and as you walk out to the church on the promontory, you’ll find a rocky grotto dedicated to him. It offers a strategic location that allows you to easily explore the entire area on foot, by boat, car, or train. For example, if you choose a central base like Portovenere for your accommodation, you can reach: – the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto in 5 minutes; – Lerici, La Spezia, Riomaggiore and Manarola within 30 minutes; – Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso and Sarzana within 50 minutes; – Portofino and Versilia in about 2 hours.
