The valuable locations are all nearby: S.M. of Leuca, with the Sanctuary and Punta Meliso where the two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian, meet; the coastal towers, Torre Vado, Torre Pali, Torre Mozza, Torre San Giovanni with the Messapic testimonies and Ugento with the Municipal Archaeological Museum and gradually climbing towards Gallipoli and Taranto; the Adriatic coast from S.M.di Leuca to Otranto is overlooking the sea, full of inlets and natural calli such as, "Il Ciolo" with the suspension bridge over the sea, Castro with the "Zinzulusa" (karst caves of rare beauty), Santa Cesarea Terme, a renowned spa resort, Porto Badisco with the most ancient evidence of human presence and the Neolithic pictorial complex among the most impressive in Europe, Otranto with its thousand-year-old and heroic history in contrast to the expansion of the Turkish empire, (the Cathedral with the mosaic floor "the Tree of Life" created between 1163 and 1165 by the monk Pantaleone); an important Adriatic stop is the Archaeological Park of Roca (4th-1st century) with the "Poesia" cave, the only testimony of inscriptions and engravings since the Neolithic.
