The name derives from the history of this sumptuous and singular residence which was built around 1890 by the Canepa brothers who had emigrated to Chile a few years earlier in search of fortune. The facade of the villa is enriched with string course frames, thin windowsill frames, decorations with floral motifs, busts and faces all made of terracotta and with extreme precision. Of no less value is the entrance with cast iron columns supporting the Carrara marble balcony and the flooring made with small black and white sea stones. The helical stairwell is suggestive, with cantilevered marble slabs, stencil-decorated walls and a small lantern with polychrome glass windows surmounting everything. ON THE SECOND AND LAST FLOOR, WITHOUT ELEVATOR, three large rooms await you with en-suite bathroom, NON-SMOKING, overlooking private gardens, heating, air conditioning, soundproofing, SMART TV, Wi-Fi, courtesy kit, hairdryer, minibar, socket USB and safe. The medieval historic center (before 1600) is gorgeous here in Chiavari and perfectly preserved. Leaving the door you will have centuries of history all around and you can mix with the local people who animate the main streets. You will find the traditional craft shops, every day the characteristic fruit and vegetable market, once a month a beautiful antique market and the flavors, shops and boutiques of the most prestigious Italian brands (for shopping lovers). Lots of coffee bars, the historic DEFILLA for tea lovers, romantic restaurants, trattorias such as LUCHIN or VITTORIO, delicatessens, focaccia shops ........ the beaches are just 200 meters away and right in front of Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. From the tourist port, they leave in the summer and only with the calm sea, the boats to discover the incredible Cinque Terre, the fashionable Portofino, the picturesque bay of S. Fruttuoso and then Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure, the bays of Sestri Levante .. ... Genoa is 30 minutes away by car or train.
