Pienza, Cortona, Bagno Vignoni are a few kilometers from Montepulciano and are definitely worth a visit. But if you want you can also visit Siena, Arezzo, Perugia or the splendid scenery of Lake Trasimeno.

Just 400m from the historic center of Montepulciano is La Casina di Mira, a modern accommodation recently renovated, so called because the very nice lady who lived for many years this house was called Palmira, for all Mira. In a quiet location, with free outdoor parking, it makes it perfect for reaching the historic center; nearby, just 300 m there is also the supermarket or the bus station; the city bus stop is only 50 m away. To make access to the house more free, guests will check in independently, who will be able to find their house keys inside the small safe located outside the door. Renovated just two years ago, it has been finely furnished in order to convey a modern and welcoming atmosphere. Guests of the house can also take advantage of the free wi-fi connection, the fully equipped kitchen and of course the independent heating. The accommodation can accommodate up to two people being equipped with a large double bed.

f you decide to come to Montepulciano in the summer you will have the privilege of experiencing many events: the International Shipyard of Art in July, with concerts of classical music and operas, the evocative night of S. Lorenzo with Calici di Stelle in August and then get to end of August at the highly anticipated week of events that culminates with the Bravìo delle Botti, a competition in which two athletes for each of the eight districts compete in an 1800-meter uphill race along the streets of the historic center pushing and rolling a barrel of the weight of 80 km !! The arrival is located in the sumptuous Piazza Grande!! During the week of events you can admire a series of events, including the Corteo dei Ceri, in which the eight districts will parade at night with their figures along the course of the race in medieval costumes using only the lighting of the fire !! And if you come in winter you will be amazed by the magical atmosphere of the Christmas markets and the castle of Santa Claus who accompany us up to the big party in Piazza Grande that will greet the new year.
