I am originally from England but have a Polish background along with a piece of my heart that will always be in Italy. I love history, film, music, good food, wine and company.

Property info

The property is the south wing of Palazzo Alemanni in the ancient town of Civita di Bagnoregio. Built in 1520 and overlong the valley of Civita towards Vetriolo, Viterbo and then Rome. There is such a magnificent view and there is always wonderful light making the atmosphere bright and spectacular.

Neighborhood info

I am in the famous historic hill-top town of Civita di Bagnoregio which is 20 minutes away from the other jewel of Etruscan origin Orvieto which has a magnificent cathedral 200 years in the making and plenty of museums, restaurants and arts and craft shops. Another 20 minutes away is Montefiascone followed by Viterbo which is another 10 - these were the summer place and the residence of the popes when they abandoned Rome from 1257 to1281. We are also only 45 minutes from the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany where the dream sequence of the Elysian fields from Gladiator were filmed and the architectural gem Pienza, bothe UNESCO world heritage sights, are to be found. Rome is just over 1 hour away, Siena just under 2 hours and Florence 2 and a half.
