Our parent company, Orienty Tour srl, was born from Istituto Nuove Vie della Seta, one of the first cultural exchange associations between China and Italy. The founder, Professor Gao Xu, is a distinguished Chinese scholar who taught at the Universities of Trieste and Udine, dedicated to promoting understanding between Chinese and European cultures. Many years ago, his students asked him, “Professor, how can we truly understand the Chinese language and China itself?” He answered with an ancient saying: “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.” “Only when you set foot on the land of the East,” he said, “can you truly understand what you have read.” From this vision, Orienty Tour was born — a travel company dedicated to helping Europeans discover the real East. We organize cultural journeys to China, Vietnam, Japan, and beyond, encouraging travelers to explore, learn, and connect. Our philosophy also lives within our guesthouse, Orienty Home Pentacoro. Each room displays historic black-and-white photos from an exhibition organized by the Municipality of Trieste and the Chinese Cultural Center Istituto Nuove Vie della Seta, showing Italians in China more than 120 years ago — a true bridge through time. Inspired by our passion for travel and cultural exchange, we decided to open a new chapter in hospitality — transforming a beautiful apartment in the heart of Trieste into a cozy and elegant guesthouse. Located in the central Borgo Teresiano district, just a 3-minute walk from the historic Opicina Tram and 5 minutes from the train and bus stations, our guesthouse offers both convenience and comfort. Set on the 5th floor of a modern 1971 reinforced concrete building with an elevator, it provides a quiet stay above the city rooftops, away from the noise of creaky old floors typical of historic buildings. The design is inspired by the ancient Chinese Five Elements and Sacred Beasts, each representing a unique energy. • 🐉 Yellow Dragon and • 🐉 Azure Dragon have private bathrooms inside. • 🐢 Black Tortoise has a private bathroom in front. • 🦚 Vermilion Bird and • 🐯 White Tiger share a large, elegant bathroom. All bathrooms feature Bluetooth music anti-fog mirrors, vertical massage showers, bladeless hair dryers, and smart adjustable lighting. Every room includes sterilizing air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a safe. Guests share a fully equipped modern kitchen with an American double-door refrigerator, microwave, Italian coffee machine, 2 of five-burner induction stove, washing machine, and dryer. From the shared balcony, you can enjoy a lovely view of Castello di San Giusto Hill. Downstairs you’ll find an IN’S discount supermarket, and within minutes, cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, and major attractions like Piazza Unità d’Italia.
