Probably the pool villa on Sicily with the best view of Mt. Etna. Set 'away from it all' on a fabulous hilltop position overlooking the sparkling Ionian Sea in the Mediterranean, the villa boasts breathtaking and unrivalled views stretching across from Mount Etna to the surrounding area of Taormina on the east coast of Sicily. The villa is a traditionally built stone detached property, with air conditioning and its own private 'infinity edge' swimming pool and garden. Completely independent, the villa assures you total privacy. A large panoramic terrace and shaded patio, with a barbecue and woodfired pizza oven, offer ample ‘al fresco' dining space from which, at near 500 meters altitude, you will truly feel on top of the world.
Owners are Michael & Marianne from Denmark. Having travelled the globe for many years, we always looked for these special places to stay, where a magical atmosphere, great views and beautiful natural surroundings gave us a truly unique experience. Keen on sharing such experiences with others, lead us to write travel articles and publish several guidebooks. When we, by chance, saw Villa Etna Mare, we were sold. The villa defined everything we had travelled the globe to find, and here we got the opportunity to call such a place "home". As always, we are eager to help fellow travelers get unique travel experiences, and renting out the villa is a great way to do just that.
The charm and attraction of the villa span from having the space and privacy to do whatever you please, at your own pace… to visiting the local areas of Taormina, Castelmola and Giardini-Naxos with the wonderful beaches all within a 25-30 minute drive. For additional sightseeing like Mount Etna, the Alcantara Gorge, Catania, the wine regions, Syracuse, Godfather movie locations, antique greek and roman sites and the Aeolian islands, the villa provides an excellent and comfortable base in a rural and quiet location. ---------- The villa has 3 bedrooms. One master bedroom with a double bed and balcony access. One more bedroom with double bed and balcony access as well as a mezzanine for a child 5-17. The last bedroom have 2 single beds (can be configured as a double) and a mezzanine for a child 5-17. Total capacity is 6 adults and 2 children. --------- Please note, the villa is located at 500 m above sea level, and is reached in 20 min. from the seaside town Giardini Naxos by a narrow and sometimes steep asphalt road. It require a confident driver to drive this narrow, bumpy road, but the rewards are some of the best views on the island.
