A few kilometers from the historic center of the city of Livorno, rises overlooking the sea the village of Quercianella. It is separated from the city by the rocky coastline called Il Romito and, a few kilometers to the south, is the village of Castiglioncello. The pretty town of Quercianella, is surrounded by the green pine forest and the scents of the Mediterranean. It overlooks a stretch of crystal clear sea lapping the cliff and since 2007 has been awarded the Blue Flag for the quality of its services and waters. To visit Quercianella and its surroundings we recommend the use of the car. Quercianella is characterized by several bathing establishments, ideal for lovers of scuba diving and snorkeling. Surfing is practiced all year round and the small port is a safe berth for boats. Adjacent to the marina is the beach of Quercianella, Bagni Paolieri and Sonnino Beach. The other main beaches in the area are that of Chioma, made of stones and pebbles and the beach of Rogiolo.
