Tavernola got its name due to the Latin word: “Tabernula”, which represent the small Inn that still exist on the “Via Regia”, the main road to the Alpin passes. Fraction of Tavernola is strategically located since it is very close to the highway entrance as well as Como City Center (about 5km). There are public services as bus and boats which you could take advantage. Having a car is for sure a plus. Area is mainly residential, but there are anyway good services as supermarket, few restaurants and sport areas (soccer, tennis).
