My name is Diletta, I am a mother and a host born and raised in Ferrara, a city that I love deeply. Ferrara is a small pearl rich in culture, history and beauty, perfect to live calmly, between leisure, art and relaxation. The New Place is located in a quiet street in the historic center of Ferrara. From here you can get anywhere on foot. The various museums, theaters, parks and gardens, the Cathedral, the Estense Castle, are always open (except for extraordinary closures) and offer a rich program of events and entertainment for every season, age and taste, easily consultable on the website of the municipality of Ferrara (ferrara terra e acqua, or ferrara summer festival). And when the weather permits, in spring and summer, but also on cool autumn days, when the warm-colored leaves carpet the streets, it is almost imperative to rent a bicycle (easily found in one of the many bicycle dealers nearby) and pedal along the famous walls that surround Ferrara and then get lost in the historic streets of the center and via the various cycle paths, which from the heart of the city take you to the gardens and parks further outside, enjoying unique views of the monuments, the ancient streets and the peaceful landscape that makes Ferrara so special. But in Ferrara you don't just go out, we also like to eat and we offer many typical dishes! You absolutely have to try the famous cappellacci di zucca and the cappelletti di carne, then the salama da sugo with purée, which in summer is called "salama da tai" because it is served cold and cut like a cold cut and then the tenerina al cioccolato and our pumpkin compotes, all accompanied by a nice San Giovese. We have so many restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias but if you want some advice... if your intention is to enjoy lunch or dinner out, book your table in advance!
