Trullo Vista was newly renovated in 2015/16. 2017 will be the first full year that the Trullo has been offerred for rental. Trullo Vista is set in an elevated position with its own gated drive, barbecue, eating, sun bathing and relaxation areas (you would be renting the whole Trullo). The front of the Trullo faces away from the swimming pool so although the Trullo is a poolside property it still offers privacy. The Trullo is offered on a Bed and Breakfast basis (breakfast is an additional charge) but it is possible to have an intimate meal using the barbecue and though there is crockery and barbecue tools in the Trullo I will happily provide any additional crockery or implements you may need. The Trullo is designed for use by two persons and has a large double bed with mosquito net; the window also has a mosquito net and the window and doors have blackout curtains. The blackout curtains were recommended by a previous Italian guest because the sun is bright and rises very early in the summer months. The swimming pool is infinity style and a depth of circa 1.8 across the whole pool. There are additional sunbathing areas around the swimming pool. We do not host celebrations. Both the Trullo and the Villetta are repainted and 'freshened up' every spring ready for the summer rental period.

I am now retired and have recently become an Italian resident. I have owned this property since 2004 and have just this last year/18 months developed it into what it is now. I have two huskies who love meeting new people, in the summer they are walked early and stay in the villa until the weather cools . My home is peaceful, and described by one of my guests as 'a jewel'. I like to preserve my guests privacy; when guests are onsite my interaction is driven by them. I am happy to provide any local knowledge or information I may have about Puglia and support guests where required. I make my own bread and cooking has become a bit of a hobby (now that I have more time away from the routine of a working week) and I am attempting to grow my own fruit and vegetables. I really enjoy the southern Italian climate, the way of life and the people here. I try to do my bit for the environment so all rubbish is separated for recycling, heating in the villa uses nutshells and wood pellets, we now have solar panels and batteries but encourage guests to save electricity and water. I do not use pesticides on the land and as mentioned I am trying to grow healthy home grown fruit and vegetables.

The Trullo is in the Countryside, during the winter I do not have neighbours to speak of, however in the summer there are properties that are occupied, though we still retain our privacy. Ostuni is the nearest town and is full of historical features; one of my guests stated that there was so much to see in Puglia they will have to come back to see more. The area is rich in history and there are so many towns to visit you may wish to research them so that you can prioritise your days out. Food in Puglia is very good and fresh, wine is excellent particularly red wine (a personal observation). If you wish I can provide information on where to shop and/or eat or buy good wine at reasonable prices. In order to preserve the tranquillity of our site and the privacy of all our guests we do not host family or friends celebrations, I hope you understand. In my view people save all year for their preferred vacation, some have very demanding jobs and just want tranquility, I hope to offer this.
