“Tuscan Country House” is located within a small historic hamlet. The house is built on two levels and features the use of fine wood throughout the ceilings, roof, veranda, and flooring. You’ll find yourself embraced by a unique, immersive, and relaxing atmosphere. The stone walls, both inside and out, create a harmonious architectural interplay with the exposed wooden beams. Furnished with antique pieces, the house evokes the rustic hospitality we aimed to achieve in its design, inspired by traditional country life. The color palette—sky blue, wisteria, straw yellow, along with some bold contrasting tones—reflects the true spirit of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse. The outdoor veranda redefines relaxation and invites contemplation of the Apuan landscape. The courtyard, surrounded by a rose garden with varieties from renowned hybridizers, offers a breathtaking display during bloom season (last week of May and first week of June). Equally charming is the small garden at the back of the house, filled with climbing roses, hydrangeas, and wisteria. Inside, you’ll also find modern comforts such as a multimedia system, classical music listening setup, TV, and internet—perfect for staying in a relaxed “mood.” Just a note: the hamlet has no commercial facilities, but you’ll find everything you need in a small market in Casola in Lunigiana (6 km away, closed on Sundays). We therefore recommend bringing supplies for your first dinner and planning ahead for the following days.
