(Villa Le Lune is a very recently restored residence (2021) of the late 19th century, in the countryside adjoining to the village of Santa Margherita di Belice (Agrigento), called “Donnafugata” by Tomasi di Lampedusa in his romance “Il Gattopardo”, as the queen Maria Carolina of Austria found refuge there escaping the English.She was hosted in the Palazzo Filangeri Cutò, rosen up on the ruins of an Arab fortalice “Manzilsindi”, where took place many of the events told in the famous romance.The Casale has a 19th century structure and it is characterized by portals, windows, columns and arcades enriched by the local tophus stone. Inside, two spacious and well-appointed reception halls, a large verandah with garden view, four bedrooms provided with all modern conveniences, furnished according to the sicilian tradition, wooden ceilings and rafters in a mezzanine, and more a big terrace from where you get a view of our garden with palms, citrus trees, tropical plants, shady paths and bloomy beds with a comfortable and big pool size 14x7 m., depth from 1.60- 2.20 m.) which is covered from early November until early April, therefore it can also be used in winter. Accommodation info: there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and it is suitable for group of friends and families:

- The first and second bedrooms have both an en-suite bathroom. One of these bedrooms has also an extra entrance from outside. 

- The third bedroom is a bright room with 2 single beds and a mezzanine with a forth bedroom, a bathroom and access to the enormous roof terrace.

- One or two additional people can sleep in two single beds in the largest room (the suite).

Villa delle Lune is located on a strategic position just outside the village of Santa Margherita di Belice, a town with an intriguing history. From the villa you can easily reach gorgeous sandy beaches (the magnificent beach of Porto Palo di Menfi at 15 km, for instance), the cute old town Sambuca di Sicilia and archaeological sites of Selinunte, Segesta and Agrigento, and world famous wineries such as Planeta, Feudo Arancio and Donnafugata, where you can enjoy a Sicilian wine tasting.
