The other two bedrooms have queen size beds and fitted wardrobes with private entrance and access to back verandah. Two portable ACs, ceiling fans in the dining and living areas and standing fans in the rooms cool the premises and make the stay comfortable, Welcome snacks, water, mixers, tea, coffee and fruits are provided. The house is situated on the main route to Black River, Treasure Beach, YS falls & other attractions. 50 min drive (traffic dependent) from Montego Bay airport and Negril. Nearest large town is Savanna La Mar (25 min drive).

Your hosts are Sophia and Marcus. A Jamaican-British family with three children. Marcus was born in Jamaica and grew up here. His father built the Happy Retreat and unfortunately passed away before he could fully enjoy it in his retirement. The wonderful house has been renovated and is to be filled with life and people from all over the world. It should make other people happy and ensure absolute relaxation. This is our wish.

Peter Tosh and his family are your neighbors. Others families live around the house, but the large garden makes it a very private area. The street is a dead end. Our garden is large but needs work, landscaping is pending. We have large mature trees, including abundant mango, lime and ackee trees. You can eat Pineapples, naseberries and plantains. There are chickens and goats around the garden, we do have a front gate which can be secured. There is parking. Belmont is a small and peaceful town on the southwest coast of Jamaica. Peter Tosh was born here and now rests on his family's property. There are small beaches within walking distance. Shops and bars can be found along the main street. Locals sell artwork, fruits or vegetables, homemade juices and delicious Jamaican food. The nearest large city is Savanna-la-Mar. But the Black river is not far either. Here you can see the famous crocodiles.
