Just one station away is Nagai Park (Nagai Kōen), one of Osaka’s most renowned comprehensive parks. Spanning 66.3 hectares, it serves as a lush urban oasis. Nagai Park is best known as the venue for the Osaka Women’s Marathon, held every winter. It features a variety of sports and nature facilities, including two athletic stadiums, a soccer field, a swimming pool, tennis courts, a training center, and a sports center for people with disabilities. In addition to sports facilities, the park is home to a botanical garden with over 1,000 species of trees and flowers, the Osaka Museum of Natural History, the Furusato no Mori (Hometown Forest), and the Green Consultation Center. For added convenience, there is a large underground parking lot, making the park a popular destination for people of all ages.
