One of the oldest residential buildings in the village, this gorgeous Japanese home in a classic area of the village has been sensitively renovated to accommodate 10 people spaciously, but can fit up to 12 people. Located a couple of minutes on foot from the Yu-Road and moving walkway towards Hikage gondola, Himecho is perfect for large groups and family vacations. It is a historic machiya-style townhouse, which is unique in Nozawa Onsen. The house offers five spacious and bright rooms, 2 of which have ensuite facilities. You’ll be sleeping on futons on tatami, although your futons will be built up for a softer feel. The house’s restrooms are a few steps down the hallway near the bedrooms. There is a spacious soaking bath, a private dining area as well as a sitting room on the ground level next to the entrance hall. There is also on-site parking available. There is a bar in the same building which is open until 10:00pm. Onsite staff share the same main entrance and shoe area but all rooms and facilities in the house are for guests’ private use. Our onsite staff are mainly there to assist guests with snow clearing in the mornings.

HimechoYasushi is located in the heart of the Ogama district of Noswaonsen. HimechoYasushi is a unique machiya-style townhouse in this exceptional village. Traditional quaint Japanese village with fantastic snow (up to 12 meters/year!) and plenty of public onsens to enjoy at the end of a long day on the slopes. The locals are really friendly and the town is beautiful. And as an extra bonus, Nozawa was the host of the 1998 Winter Olympics! During the summer, the gondolas open for mountain biking activities.
