Company information
Since its founding in 1977, Hokumon Yashiki Co., Ltd. has carried on the traditions and culture of Hagi while developing a hospitality business that grows together with the local community.
Today, the company operates three facilities as one group — Hokumon Yashiki, Ganjima Bessou, and Hagi-yaki Kaikan — offering guests an authentic “Hagi-style stay experience” that unites history, culture, art, and cuisine.
Our management philosophy is “From Hagi to the world — heartfelt hospitality that connects people.”
Located in the heart of the World Heritage Site of Hagi Castle Town, we aim to serve as a bridge between the region’s history and its future through the form of a traditional ryokan.
We treasure every encounter, hoping that each guest will feel the warmth of Japanese culture and the spirit of true omotenashi during their stay.
All our staff embrace the spirit of “Hyakuman Isshin” — “One heart shared by one million people” — preserving tradition while creating new value for the future.
We actively support regional revitalization through the use of local ingredients, the promotion of Hagi-yaki pottery, and participation in cultural events.
At the same time, we are committed to sustainable management practices, including energy conservation and environmental care, to ensure a future where hospitality and sustainability coexist.
Delivering stays that remain in each guest’s heart —
and passing down the proud culture of Hagi to the next generation —
this is the unwavering mission of the Hokumon Yashiki Group.
