Your Space
Your booking is for a private suite of more than 150 square metres. The suite includes two Japanese-style sleeping rooms with futons on tatami, a spacious dining and living area, separate private bathroom, washbasins, and WCs. A private organic garden with shaded seating is available for rest or reading. The Space is designed for comfort, quiet, and flexibility: ideal for meditation, yoga (equipment provided), or remote work. We provide unlimited, fast internet suitable for streaming or business use.

We focus on ultra-premium care and attention to detail. Bedding, furnishings, and amenities are chosen for quality and authenticity. Breakfast is included, with fresh ingredients, specialty teas, and Woodberry single-origin coffee. The environment is carefully maintained to combine traditional Japanese aesthetics with the comfort expected in a professional guest house.
Spirit of Place
Koyasan is the heart of Shingon Buddhism, and your stay is within walking distance of the great gate (Daimon), the Daito pagoda, and the Okunoin cemetery. The atmosphere of the mountain is unlike anywhere else in Japan. As practising Buddhists, we can share knowledge of the spiritual traditions of Mount Koya, and provide insights into both Shingon Buddhist and Shinto practice. Guests often describe the experience as both restorative and deeply memorable.
Practicalities
Our guest house is easy to find: a red building on the high street, within sight of Daimon Gate. There is no curfew; you may walk freely at night and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. Check-in is from 3:00pm; check-out is by 11:00am. We ask only that you respect the privacy of “staff only” areas. Everything else is yours to enjoy in complete privacy.

Two minutes from Daimon gate, and Daimon bus stop. Gorgeous vistas over misty mountain-tops and a beautiful sunset. Numerous hiking trails from Daimon gate, and many restaurants, bars, cafés just nearby.
