This accommodation facility is a Buddhist temple. You can feel and touch genuine Japanese traditional culture in this temple, Sainan-in. Surely, it is available for you to join in a morning prayer, copying calligraphy, doing meditation, and chatting with a monk in English. The principal image of this temple is Atavaka (guardian deity). A portrait of this buddha is not open for public but we monks pray for happiness to everyone, national security and world peace to Atavaka on special days in one years. Koyasan has been recognized as a world heritage since 2004. Since then, many international guests has visited here. There are many interesting spots that you can see such as Okunoin, Garan-complex, and Kongobuji, a headquarter temple. Definitely, you can feel something holy and spiritual in these spots. We appreciate you behave appropriately because you can see monks in training and believers in prayer here in Koyasan. Most of restaurants and souvenir shops are located in the central area of the town.
