Tengallon Hat, located in the pristine surroundings of Norikura Kogen, just 25 kilometers from Kamikochi, offers excellent accessibility. Situated a mere 5-minute drive from the Norikura Ski Resort, the establishment features rooms accommodating 1 to 4 guests, a café space, and a spacious bath with abundant natural mineral water. Additionally, guests can enjoy a private sauna with prior reservation. Bathroom facilities are shared, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Conveniently positioned in front of the Norikura Hoikuenmae bus stop, the facility is approximately a 1-hour drive from Matsumoto City and within a similar distance to Hida, Takayama, and Azumino. Guests can explore Norikura Kogen via various hiking trails, enjoy cycling, and visit numerous attractions, including three waterfalls. While meals are not provided, guests are welcome to bring their own prepared food or purchase ingredients to cook in the kitchen. Moreover, guests can indulge in Baumkuchen from the onsite pastry shop, enjoying it alongside beverages in the café or savoring drinks at the bar. My guests left some message to you: "You would think that you'll have to be a professional hiker to come here, but it really is a well-maintained town in the mountains. It is easily accessible for tourists to simply get away from the fast-paced city life and retreating into a tranquil and peaceful environment. The highlight is the view from the guest room window; a stream gurgling right below, tall trees all around, snow on the ground and on the tree branches. And not a soul in sight. And the jacuzzi has similar views! Perfect. The Norikura region could do with a few more tourists so do consider it as an option if you plan to visit the Japanese Alps and want a mixture of hiking, skiing and just general chilling. Without too many crowds!
