We are a couple who designed and built Buena Dumo ourselves, inspired by the calm beauty of Jeju’s west coast. Our dream was to create a private villa where guests can rest, play tennis, and enjoy the slow rhythm of island life. Located on Jeju’s peaceful west coast, Dumo-ri is a quiet seaside village in Hangyeong-myeon, about an hour’s drive from Jeju International Airport. It’s known for its open landscapes, ocean breeze, and the sight of wind turbines turning slowly along the coast. The village remains true to Jeju’s rural charm — surrounded by stone walls, small farms, and narrow coastal roads perfect for slow drives or bike rides. Nearby, you’ll find Dumo Port, a small fishing harbor designated as a community port, and Dumo Beacon Hill (Dumo Yeondae), a historical watchtower that once served as a coastal defense post. The area is also famous for its beautiful sunsets over the sea, with views that stretch toward the horizon. Thanks to its calm atmosphere and unspoiled scenery, Dumo-ri has recently become a favorite destination for private villas and design stays, offering guests a glimpse of Jeju’s slower rhythm of life.
