Company information

We have been living in the area for over 20 years and have a wealth of experience in helping people find the right measure between relaxation and discovering good places to visit around the South Coast. Nishantha Kumarawadu is an experienced diver, although he no longer dives he is happy to take people for snorkling trips and knows where to find turtle to watch. We can arrange trips into the interior and to Nature Reserves and also have bikes scooters to hire, please let us know in advance if possible for hire.

Property information

We own a lovely beach front property on the pretiest beach on Polhena Beach Road. Our accommodation consists of a beach front bungalow with 3 separate bedrooms to rent. All have air-conditioning (please ask for this as it does carry a small extra charge) All have private bathrooms with hot water showers. There is a covered seating area with a table and chairs outside each property where you can take meals purchased at the family resturant if you wish. On the opposite side of the quiet beach road we have 2 further rooms in our family home which we also rent. The ground floor room has hot water shower but no A/C upstairs is a big family room with A/C but cold water shower only. Saranga speaks English and Nishantha Kumarawadu also speaks German.

Neighbourhood information

The area is a mixture of beach bar resturants small hotels and homestays with many places to stop for a drink or some food and enjoy a dip in the sea. The sea is very safe for swimming here, some afternoons there can be a bit of a pull one direction or the other, but because the beach is protected by a reef you will never be swept out to sea you can just enjoy the gentle ride on the current down the beach and have a good swim back or get out and walk! We run a small quiet and romantic little resturant on the beach, with tables on the sand. Our resturant has a good reputation for providing some of the best SriLankan food you will experience on the island. It is all made freshly to order from locally sourced fresh vegetables, seafood and meat. We also do breakfast and we are open 7 days a week. Special dishes can be prepared by ordering in advance.
