We at the The Forest Inn share a deep passion for nature and sustainability. My husband, now retired, was the chairman of a leading Sri Lankan NGO dedicated to reforestation. For many years he served the country and the environment, leading projects that restored Kandyan forests and planted mangrove forests along the coastal areas, while also supporting thousands of local communities. Though no longer active due to health reasons, his legacy of protecting nature continues to inspire us every day. Our love for the forest is reflected in the way our home and this property were built—with complete respect for the natural landscape, without cutting down a single tree. Nestled within the forest itself, The Forest Inn is designed to blend harmoniously with its surroundings. We also take pride in preserving and sharing Sri Lanka’s traditional food culture, offering authentic meals prepared with care and respect for our heritage.
