The Gauja village is a quiet seaside village located between the Gauja river, the Baltic Sea and the Dzirnezers lake. Close to the house there is also a smaller river Dzirnupe, famous for recreational fishing. Further to the forest you will find one of the Garezeri lake chain and of course the seaside beach. The village is located right next to Carnikava (3 minutes by train or 8 minutes by bike) where you will find shops, cafes and the beautiful seaside. If you're traveling by car, Ādaži (10 min drive) is yet another option for shopping and dining. There is a regular train connection to Riga and the nearby seaside villages such as Carnikava, Lilaste and Saulkrasti. Our trains are modern, comfortable and cheap (1-3 EUR per person). The Gauja train station is just a couple minutes walk from the house.
