The Imperial Glory Lodges are situated in the heart of an expansive nature reserve located in the Merzouga desert. We offer 16 luxurious traditional lodges, each featuring its own terrace and providing breathtaking views of the ocher dunes of Merzouga. Spanning 36m², each lodge is equipped with king-size beds, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with separate toilets. The lodge design draws inspiration from the region's traditional culture, and the furniture showcases locally crafted artworks by skilled artisans. You will be delighted by the aromatic scent of exotic woods, the luxurious feel of fine fabrics, and the warm welcome accompanied by regional products. We prioritize clean energy, ensuring our water and electricity supply are powered by sustainable sources. Furthermore, we are proud to support the local economy by hiring staff exclusively from the region, ensuring their natural warmth and delivering impeccable service.
Merzouga, located 350 miles/560 kilometers east of Marrakesh, is situated in a relatively remote area. The closest major city is Errachidia. If you wish to avoid the lengthy drive from Marrakesh, an alternative option is to fly into Moulay Ali Cherif Airport in Errachidia via Royal Air Maroc. From there, it's a two-hour drive to Merzouga. For those seeking a more budget-friendly choice, CTM and Supratours operate overnight buses between Fez and Merzouga, as well as a long bus route from Marrakesh to Merzouga.
Furthermore, numerous tour companies offer comprehensive itineraries departing from Marrakesh and Fez. These tours typically include a knowledgeable guide, various organized activities, 4x4 transportation, and often span several days. While three-day tours are popular, if possible, consider opting for a four or five-day tour to allow for more time to appreciate the desert scenery. Some tour companies even offer trips that commence in Marrakesh and conclude in Fez, making stops in Merzouga along the way.
