Sannat (or Ta' Sannat) is a rustic village located in the south of the island of Gozo, Malta. It is particularly famous for the dramatic Ta' Ċenċ Cliffs (also known as Sanap Cliffs), which are the highest on Gozo, offering breathtaking views and popular hiking opportunities. The surrounding area, the Ta' Ċenċ plateau, is the largest area of Maltese garigue (rocky land with low-growing shrubs) on the islands and is rich in flora and fauna. The village is also known for: Prehistoric remains like dolmens, cart ruts, and the remnants of the Borg l-Imramma Temple found on the Ta' Ċenċ plateau. The picturesque Mġarr ix-Xini Bay, a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and diving, which is located below Sannat, accessed via a valley. Its charming Main Square, Pjazza Santa Margerita, featuring the Baroque Parish Church dedicated to St. Margaret the Martyr. Sannat is generally considered one of the more tranquil and rural villages on Gozo, offering a peaceful retreat.
