One of the highlights of Spyder Hill is its proximity to the Berembun Forest Reserve, just a 10 miniute walk away. About 4.5km away, at the foothills of Spyder Hill is Kampung Pantai. The town center is just a single street occupied by food stalls and a small mosque. The kampung folk are usually involved in agriculture and food making. There is a resettled indigenous peoples (orang asli) village nearby and they are quite modernised, working at the resorts nearby or doing odd jobs in the palm oil plantations. Hunting to them is now just a side hobby during their free time.
