The Dusun is a collection of jungle lodges nestled in lush greenery and overlooking stunning views of a Malaysian rainforest. The Dusun is the ideal Malaysian holiday destination for nature lovers who enjoy privacy and space, with stunning rainforest views. There are seven private houses on the Dusun. Each is unique and set to catch the views and the wind while maintaining privacy for guests. Some face a virgin Malaysian rainforest, while others look out onto distant rolling hills. In 1984, our family began planting trees on this 12-acre lot. We now have over two hundred fruit trees, two forest walks, seven rainforest villas, two pools, deer, chickens and vegetables.

In 1984, Helen and David bought this little piece of hill by a Malaysian rainforest . It was a rubber estate with no water source or electricity. They lovingly worked the land – mostly with local villagers they hired and befriended, and sometimes with their five children – until it became the little piece of paradise we enjoy today.

Just outside Seremban and over an hour away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is The Dusun, an eco-friendly accommodation in the foothills of the Titiwangsa Main Range and Berembun Forest Reserve. The Dusun is in the traditionally matriarchal state called Negeri Sembilan (directly translates to Nine States) in Malaysia. The closest villages to us are home to Temuan, one of the many indigenous tribes in Malaysia.

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
