Nestled in the heart of cheetah country, the Babson House offers guests the opportunity to experience the speed of the cheetah and the work of the Cheetah Conservation Fund in its race against extinction while relaxing in the elegance and charm of the colonial African style so admired in ‘Out of Africa’.
Babson House, is a cottage reminiscent of the 1940s colonial era and sleeps four guests in two luxurious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a further simpler twin room is available for an additional 2 guests. A combined dining and living area boasts comfortable leather sofas, a large dining table and a liquor cabinet with wine fridge. A private chef prepares meals, and a host is present to look after guests’ every need. The Babson House can also accommodate a private guide or pilot.
CCF was foundered by Dr Laurie Marker in 1990.
Breathtaking views of the Waterberg Plateau, which dominates the landscape, may be enjoyed from the privacy of a wide veranda overlooking the enclosure of CCF’s ambassador cheetahs.
