The facilities at Camp Gecko also include a spacious natural pool / swimming pond, without chemicals and without a filter system, but with water plants, a small waterfall and little fish. The reception and bar area is also located here, where our chargeable but unlimited WiFi can also be used. In addition to drinks and snacks, we offer a wide variety of self-sufficiency from firewood to meat to fresh farm products. For those who don't want to be completely self-catering, we offer a rich breakfast that can be booked and our popular deluxe barbecue packages. Our barbecue packages usually include a venison steak (+/-200g), a sausage, stuffed vegetables, homemade baguette bread, fresh salad and something sweet on top for dessert. We prepare everything ready to eat. We provide crockery, cutlery and barbecue equipment free of charge if required.

Camp Gecko offers you unique accommodation with real African romance. In our tented camp you can choose between one-storey and two-storey tent "bungalows". The arrangement of the tents allows each guest to enjoy the accommodation and the surrounding nature in private and undisturbed. From your private terrace with seating you have a fantastic view over the semi-desert savannah and the waterhole that is illuminated at night. In addition to our tented camp, we offer original campsites located on a hill. Each of these campsites is individually designed and, thanks to its elevated position, also offers a great panoramic view over the entire valley. All our tents and campsites have their own private bathroom (some open air) with shower and toilet, as well as a private BBQ area. Our tents and campsites are deliberately without electricity. You are welcome to use our secure charging stations in the reception area to charge your electronics and we are happy to store chilled food in our cooling units.

Located at the foot of the famous Spreetshoogte Pass, Camp Gecko offers unique accommodation with true African romance. From Windhoek you can reach Camp Gecko after about 3 hours drive (230km). Swakopmund is approx. 4 hours drive away (260km) and Sesriem / Sossusvlei is approx. 1.5 hours drive (120km).
