Guests are greeted in one of 16 “welcome languages” (including Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Luo/Acholi, Mandarin, Swahili, Twi, Xhosa, Arabic, and Urdu). New arrivals are offered water and/or coconut/fruit juice before being whisked through a seamless check-in. Once roomed in, guests are pampered with a welcome fruit salad. The Pavilion Kitchen delivers Michelin-star quality food prepared in our modern hygienic kitchen. We also cater to specifics (vegan, gluten/dairy-free, halal, kosher, and Lenten fare). HP Pavilion is in Garki, which is the principal business and administrative district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Garki was the first District to be developed in Abuja. Consequently, many of the city’s older buildings can be seen here. The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), which is the local Government administration, and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) which runs the FCT both have their headquarters in Garki (which is, therefore, equivalent to the capital of other States in Nigeria). Samuel Ladoke Akintola Boulevard (sometimes written as S.L. Akintola Blvd or even S.L.A. Blvd) is also called ‘Old CBN Road’ or ‘CBN Road’, because the Old Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Headquarters used to be off SLA Boulevard. The Old CBN is currently the location of the FCT Branch of the CBN & the Nigeria head offices of some UN Agencies, like UNICEF and FAO. Several parastatals are within a walking distance from HP Pavilion include the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company (the mint) and the Old Treasury House (office of the Accountant-General of the Federation). The Diplomatic Zone which houses most of the UN agencies and the foreign missions (including the new US Embassy), is in the part of Garki which adjoins the Central Area. The largest event Centre in Abuja (Abuja International Conference Centre) is in Garki. Garki also happens to be the only district in Abuja that has two major markets, both located in Garki II, at a walking distance from HP Pavilion. The Headquarters of all the three arms of the Nigerian Armed Forces, namely Army, Air force and Navy are in Garki, as well as the Office of the headquarters of the FCT Police Command. The Headquarters of the major government media houses in Nigeria are in Garki.Other popular landmarks in Garki include the National Library, and the Cyprian Ekwensi Center for Arts & Culture. HP Pavilion is about half an hour drive from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
