Chris and Victoria have been in Nicaragua for several years. Victoria has a non-profit organization, MAYSEA Movement, in the country working with local off-grid communities. Chris is a boat captain surfing farmer, who loves gardening, digging holes, chickens, water, permaculture, and all things to live sustainable. We share our paradise with others for both long and short periods of time when we are not there.

Nosotros Playa Maderas is a privately run surf house offering two cabana's and a large casita nested in the hills of the salty jungle paradise. The neighborhood is a community of international people who are all willing to lend a hand to help each other out, have delicious food gatherings, and look after each other. How to get there: A 4x4 transportation is highly reccommended however majority of our guests do not have transportation and either take a 4x4 taxi or the shuttle from town and then walk. You can also arrive by moto and we can also help arrange transportation upon request. Hostel Clandestino in Playa Maderas is the closest point on Google Maps. On the main road to get there, keep taking that road straight until you get to the end of the road and you will reach our casitas. Do not turn, just keep going straight on the main driving road. You can ask anyone for Victoria and Chris's spot. If you contact us in advance, we will coordinate the caretaker to come meet and greet you to show you the property easily. The nearest airport is Augusto Cesar Sandino International, 133.6 km from the hostel, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. There is a shuttle nearby that leaves 3 times a day to San Juan Del Sur and returns and a food truck that comes up with vegetables nearby.
