I'm Canadian and moved to SJDS to slow down my lifestyle. I understand how busy life can get and how important it is to disconnect from that to recharge. I came from a life where working 6-7 days a week was normal. I had no idea I was burnt out until I gave myself the time to rest. My lifestyle now is very balanced with rest, play and work. Here are some of my hobbies outside of work: - I'm learning Spanish, salsa dancing, kickboxing surfing - I go to the gym, practice yoga / breathing / meditation - I read or lay down in my hammock - Go for a sunset walk or a morning swim in the ocean Now my work involves hosting cool people from all around the world. One of best parts of my day are watering the plants at the house and connecting with the guests that are staying at The Stone Elephant ❤️🐘

We're your home away from home❤️🐘. San Juan Del Sur is a loud and busy town. The Stone Elephant is a place that's close to all the action but away from the noise and the chaos. The guests that stay here are all here to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect (with themselves or a Loved one). It's a quiet and safe place for you rest your head, make a nutritious meal, and escape the sun after exploring the town and the beaches nearby. The building has 4 rooms in total: 2 apartments (each with a private bathroom and kitchen) 2 rooms with a private bathroom and a shared kitchen. All 3 kitchens have everything you need to make a nutritious meal. All rooms have new AC units. All rooms have Comfy Serta mattresses (not foam mattresses) The house has hot water, full water pressure and water reserve tanks ***please note that the town of San Juan has been redoing all of their roads and they shut off the water and the power occasionally without notifying us ahead of time. When the power is off in town, our hot water heater and our water pressure pump is effected because they both need electricity to run. That being said, the house will still have water at least, it'll just be a lower pressure*** The building has a beautiful plunge pool that's just for guests. No smoking / parties / pets / guests

We're in town but not in the heart of downtown. I'm a woman and have always felt safe walking around here on my own at all hours of the day/ night. The families that live on this block are super friendly and warm❤️. We're a 3 min walk to the main street of downtown. We're a 3 min walk to the SJDS beach (a great place to watch some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see). We're 2 blocks away from a fruit and veggie market (Lots of organic produce). We're 2 blocks away from Zen Yoga and Fight Club Gym We're 2 blocks from Central Park (All of town's celebrations are held here). You can walk to the celebrations and sleep afterwards without the speakers blasting in your ears all night long. San Juan is a small town so you won't need a car to get around. If you have one though, you can park it right out front of the house. If you're feeling adventurous, it's really fun to rent a moto to explore all the neighboring beaches near by. Remanzo Beach - 8 mins away Hermosa Beach - 27 mins away Maderas Beach - 33 mins away
