The Mast near fort Vechten, farm, located in the fertile region near the Kromme Rijn, in the middle of the Netherlands, under the smoke of Utrecht, for 1 -7 people. Ultimate enjoyment of all that farm life has to offer. From the farm you have an unobstructed view over the countryside in all directions. Large oak trees stand next to the path with a lovely large terrace exclusively for guests. We rent out a separate part of the front house of our farm as a holiday home and we live on the other side. Hereby we offer you a spacious living room en suite with kitchen, toilet, bathroom with shower, bath and toilet, 3 bedrooms with spacious double beds with fine mattresses and one of these bedrooms has a single beds extra and if asked for two children's cots. One bedroom is downstairs, 'De Opkamer'. With a steep staircase you go to the second floor with two other bedrooms: Fortzicht en De Mastwetering. And outside also part of our spacious flower garden, a large terrace along the side of the farm with a nice lounge sofa and a beautiful picnic table on the waterside. The kitchen is equipped with an induction plate, oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. For longer stays, a freezer can be placed. The laundry can also be done for you for a fee. In summer, a bbq is at your disposal. The guesthouse is fully equipped, so you only have to bring your personal belongings. Breakfast is not included, but you can enjoy breakfast at our neighbours bakery/ restaurant Vroeg. You can also pre-order breakfast by internet and pick it up at the bakery. You can enjoy the peace and quiet, but also: walking, cycling, taking a canoe down the Kromme Rijn or strolling along Utrecht canals. Furthermore, all other larger cultural cities, such as Amsterdam, Haarlem, Scheveningen, Rotterdam, Amersfoort, are reachable within 1 hour drive by car.

The farm is a family business. Floor's grandfather was already milking cows on De Mast. Floor's father, Jan Oskam, continued the dairy farm and in 1984 Floor entered into a partnership with his father. Jeannette and Floor have been living together since summer 2018. Jeannette helps out on the farm and also worked as a biology teacher at a secondary school. But since the summer of 2023, she has devoted her time entirely to the B&B and the work on the farm. A new generation of farmers is already emerging; Floor's two sons may succeed their father. On our dairy farm we milk 120 dairy cows and we also have about a number of young cattle. Furthermore, the dog, a number of cats, our chickens and Friesian horses complete all the animals on the farm. The land that belongs to the company is located around the farm. There is always activity!

You can enjoy breakfast at our neighbours bakery/ restaurant Vroeg. You can also pre-order breakfast there by internet and pick it up at the bakery. Our neighbours sell the products from their orchards and other local products in their country shops within walking distance. A fruit or vegetable box from Plattelandswinkel De Achterdijk can be ordered in advance. Other tips: Pater's Fruitbedrijf (Achterdijk 22a), Landwinkel Nieuw Slagmaat (Marsdijk 5). Our cultural neighbors are Fort Vechten, part of the Dutch Water Line and the Roman Limes. Both part of a World Heritage Site. The forest of Nieuw-Wulven is on the other side of the farm on foot nearby. Golf course Amelisweerd is also within easy reach. Furthermore, the city of Utrecht is a few km away! So enjoy the canals or shopping, visit a theater or any other city activity. It's all possible!
