Our apartment is next to our own house. The house we bought years was a badly maintained property. 2 Years ago we decided to renovate the whole building and made 2 apartments. 1 Front house that is permanently let and a rear apartment that has a beautiful garden for vacation rentals or work related rentals. We have done the renovation ourselves with the help of friends and have rebuilt it from the ground up. The garden where no longer could be walked from the weeds has now become a beautiful garden where you can relax. Even when we are working in the garden we always sit down to enjoy the peace, then we are also a bit on holiday. We have kept the kitchen very spacious, because we ourselves also enjoy cooking with friends. In the bathroom we put a luxurious bath. Nothing is better than you have made a long walk in winter time and you can warm up in the bath. But even if you do not like soaking, there is a wonderful shower cabin with jets. Upstairs 2 bedrooms with 6 wonderful beds. Our pride: D

My name is Coby Wiersma and this year I am happily married to Jacco Wiersma for 25 years. My husband was a bass player in a band where I was asked as a singer. So music has become very important to us. Currently I sing in a band with my two sons, my oldest son Jack is the bass player and my youngest son is a drummer. They both also sing. My husband controls the sound. Personally I am wild about our environment because we have beautiful areas to make long walks. Behind the dike along, or in the forest. Throughout the year on Saturday morning there is a fresh fish market where you can taste everything and see how fish dishes are made but there are also other local products for sale. We also have a computer shop on our village that now also exists for 15 years and we are very proud of it. Because of our profession we have a lot to do with people and I think we can still exist with our store, because you can deal well with people, we are honest and people feel at home with us. Hence our step towards renting out our apartment, where we can make people happy and we can be proud of it. : D

We are one of the few villages that actually have everything .... Our village is located on a beautiful fishing port. We have fresh water from the nearby IJsselmeer where you can fish, swim and practice water sports. We have salt water by neighboring Wadden Sea where you can wadlopen or wad excursions where they can show you seals or show life what lives on the mudflats, or take you to fish shrimp fishing that you can eat immediately . We have a beautiful large forest where you can walk or exercise. We have a beautiful new supermarket in our village that is open every day (also on weekends). And if you prefer to go to a city Den Helder is 25 kilometers or you take 1 straight road, the A7 to Amsterdam. There is a zoo 20 km away (Hoenderdaell in Anna Paulowna) Swimming pool 6 km away. We also have the annual parties where many things are organized such as: the Flora and Fishery days, the fish parade, beach volleyball on the harbor and the autumn fair. Actually ... too many to mention!
