I believe it’s important that guests feel at home straight away and I enjoy creating a trusted, peaceful atmosphere for everyone who stays. Hospitality is my priority – I like to pay attention to details so that everything is just right. Perhaps I can be a little too precise at times, but it means you, as my guest, will never be short of anything. Outside of my work I enjoy cooking and travelling – with America still at the top of my list. <br>Why “The Church Fields”: As early as 1150, a modest wooden church stood here, and since then four successive versions have been built on the same site. The current St. Gregory’s Church (1963), designed by the renowned German architect Gottfried Böhm, is a striking composition in concrete and brick, created in his characteristic expressionist modernist style. Today it still serves as a landmark in the Brunssum landscape and has been listed as a national monument. Our studio is located in Kerkeveldstraat, a name that directly refers to the green fields where, long ago, herds once grazed and villagers gathered by the church. From this history, the English name Church Fields was born – a subtle reference to both church and field, to past and present. About the area: The apartment is located in Brunssum, in the quiet neighbourhood of "Kerkeveld". Here you can enjoy peace and a relaxed atmosphere, while still being close to everything you need. Brunssum lies in the heart of Parkstad Limburg, a region full of culture, nature and history. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling, with beautiful trails through the hills and forests of South Limburg. From here you can easily explore charming towns, castles and traditional villages. South Limburg is also known for its excellent restaurants, cosy cafés and welcoming atmosphere. With Germany and Belgium just around the corner, day trips across the border are also within easy reach. Whether you are looking for nature, culture or simply a relaxing stay, this location offers the perfect base.
