Your HOME away from home! The perfect "short stay" in Amsterdam. Located in the east part of the center of Amsterdam. Student area. Max 2 people. Studio Six! Nice bedroom with comfortable double bed, bathroom, and the use of a recently renewed kitchen. If you are looking for an hotel type of stay, this is not the place. We try to make your stay as homely as possible. Your hosts do live in the same building and will be available for assistance, but only if/when required.

Although I was born in The Hague, Amsterdam is more home to me than any other place I ever lived. My wife, Beppie, was born and raised here and our children were also born here. After some moving around, as families tend to do, we finally all came back to Amsterdam. Home! I am a painter and some of my art is shared with you, in the Studio. Being a host comes very naturally to me. All our lives we had friends staying with us, sometimes months on end. Feel free to contact me, anytime. I hope you will enjoy your stay in Amsterdam. Poised to become an ever more popular destination for Amsterdam tourists, the Plantage (Plantation) is a splendid place to devote a day or more. In 2011, the area reached 4 million visitors for the first time, with its wonderful accumulation of cultural attractions - from the former Jewish Quarter to the Tropics Museum, to one of the nation's favorite zoos. Also walking distance from, a.o., Rembrandt's house, famous flea market, The Hermitage, etc. All the "has to visit while in Amsterdam" places are within reasonable walking distances. Getting around in Amsterdam is best-done walking! We are very close though to the subway and several trams. Plenty of bike rental places around. The Studio is only 3 stops away from the Central Station by underground. From Weesperplein, where all underground trains do stop, it is a 5 minutes walk to your home away from home. Make sure to exit the Metro station direction UVA!
